Captain Dave Johnson is a licensed U.S. Coast Guard Captain, and a registered Maine Guide. He is also the creator and director of the Downeast Maine Shark Tournament (www.mainesharktournament.com), an event held every August to raise money for local charities, and to gather scientific information about sharks. When he is not on the water fishing, he is Dr. Dave Johnson, a neuroscientist in the Department of Physiology at the University of New England's College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine. He is also the author of "Medical Tests That Can Save Your Life", which was released nationally by Rodale Press in 2004. Captain Dave lives in Kennebunk, Maine, with his wife and three children.
