Captain Dave Johnson is a licensed U.S. Coast Guard Captain, and a registered Maine Guide. He is a native Vermonter who has been fishing all of his life, and moved to Maine in 1994 and has been fishing the Saco river area ever since. He is also the creator of the Downeast Maine Shark Tournament (www.mainesharktournament.com), an event held every August to raise money for local charities, and to gather scientific information about sharks. When he is not on the water fishing, he is Dr. Dave Johnson, a neuroscientist in the Department of Physiology at the University of New England's College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine. Captain Dave lives in Kennebunk, Maine, with his wife and three children.
